Born and raised in Chicago, Andye J. has been a mover, dance teacher, choreographer, and singer for over 20 years. In 2008 she made the life-changing decision to move to Los Angeles and has been blessed with many amazing opportunities ever since. Choreographing for artists such as Nicki Minaj (ANACONDA Music Video, Fashion Rocks, MTV Video Music Awards, MTV European Music Awards, The PINK PRINT World Tour), Jennifer Lopez (Big Booty Promo Video - dancer and choreographer, American Idol Finale Live Show, Billboard Award Show, Bronx NEIGHBORHOOD SESSIONS Show, AKA Album Promo Tour), Mariah Carey (Las Vegas #1 to Infinity show), Kehlani (CRZY Music Video, SSS World Tour), Jessie J (HALO Awards, NewNowNext Awards), Calvin Harris (MY WAY Music Video), Sofia Carson (BACK TO BEAUTIFUL Music Video). She has also choreographed for KPOP and JPop Artists Girls Generation (CATCH ME IF YOU CAN Music Video), TVXQ (SPELLBOUND Music Video), Super Junior (SWING Music Video), and Mariya Nishiuchi (MOTION Music Video).
In addition to choreography, Andye J has also had the opportunity to share her teaching and dance style with students in almost 40 countries including Japan, Australia, France, Indonesia, Singapore, and London. In 2009, she toured as a singer and instrumentalist (flute & piano) with Ryan Gosling and his band Dead Man's Bones. She is currently faculty for Monsters A-List and was in the show cast for 2007. She teaches a regular weekly class at Movement Lifestyle in LA.
As a powerful female leader in the professional dance and teaching industry, Andye J makes it a priority to be positive, empowering, and to spread knowledge to help further the journey of anyone she connects with. She is the owner and creator of QUEENDomination LLC (@thequeendomination), an all-female Intensive Workshop powered by an all-female faculty. Andye has also created The MAJ Program, a long term, in-house training program for dance students seeking a more concentrated & intimate learning environment - within the USA & internationally (@themajprogram). She is eternally grateful to God for the gifts that He has given to her and will never take those gifts for granted.
