Born and raised in Chicago, Andye J has been a dancer, choreographer, instructor, and singer for over 15 years. As apart of the Monsters of Hip Hop 2007 Show, produced by Tabitha and Napoleon D’umo (Nappytabs), Andye J made the decision in February 2008 to make her way to Los Angeles to pursue her dancing, choreographing, teaching and singing careers. Since then, she has been blessed with many amazing opportunities such as, MTV’s MADE (Hip Hop Coach), Emmy's live performance (Rachel Kay, Free Boogie, Phlex), Hennessey Black promo video (Directed by Hype Williams), Ed Hardy (Kevin Maher), singing/touring with Ryan Gosling & Dead Man’s Bones band, and countless LA Showcases. Her choreography has been used for Chonique Sneed’s “Welcome to the Cho”, MTV, McDonald’s, International Dance Festivals in Bejing, Japan, and Singapore, Y-Me cancer benefit in Chicago, and LA's Choreographer's Carnival. Andye J was also the Director of the International dance company Dance2xs (Chicago branch) for 4 years. She has been blessed to teach all around the United States (Chicago, Los Angeles, Seattle, Boston, Purdue University, University of Michigan, University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign) and internationally (Portugal, Spain, Mexico City, Japan, Chile (with Free Boogie), Poland (FNF Crew), Singapore, Canada, Australia, Taiwan, Italy, China, Korea, and Indonesia). She is currently and Artist with Movement Lifestyle, Urban Empire, Creating Opportunities (Chonique and Lisette), Essence Dance Company and on faculty as an Instructor at the acclaimed Debbie Reynolds Dance Studio in Los Angeles, California.
